Update For First Semester

At Judson "RISE" Road to Independent, Spiritual & Employment Program my first semester been a bit crazy for me sometimes there maybe ups and downs but in the Program we get to make it through together. I have been doing very well, I also get to be busy that I like. I have grown well independently as I have been doing laundry by myself and I feel so proud how amazing I have been doing. I have been taking my faith seriously wherever I am. I have learned so much from the Lord and for me it never stops. I heard God calling me and I realized if I can do anything I am not doing it by myself, I am doing this for the glory of God. I want to spread the Good News of Jesus and as well by sharing my faith publicly and even though I am not defined by my disability, I am defined by what God says who I really am. During the first semester I have been learning a lot in my classes, for me I can tell you that I am a quick learner. I found out before Christmas break of 2021 that I did really well, exceptional and I have put a lot of effort in my classes and I'm proud about that as I should be. Even I am realizing no more Mom and Dad to be around anymore when I am at Judson on campus I am actually proud about that because I am doing what is right for myself independently and as well I advocate for myself and I get to advocate to spread awareness for Down Syndrome. As I am doing all of these things by myself the Lord is always with me and also during the hard times and I choose to trust in Him and when it gets hard but I believe the Lord will continue to help, to guide me into the correct direction of my life.

I will really appearcite all of your prayers and I believe the Lord has laid something proudly / amazing in my heart / through my life and I get to do everything according to God's will of my life and God is the God that I can depend on and that is where my hope comes from of the Lord and I believe in no matter what happens to me I need to come to the Lord and He will help me and also when it's difficult.

The Life At JU

I am in the RISE Program here at Judson University in Elgin IL. I am also a first year RISE student. I have been learning lots and I really enjoy it! I made lots of new friends. I have a roommate and a suitemate. In my classes I am taking that I know I have a lot. Currently my favorite subjects are Current Events and Nutrition & Exercise. In Current Events class I had been learning previously about weather, and anything related to news and had been talking about politics which I won't like to talk about which you may understand as that is very interesting to me and I like to learn more. In Nutrition & Exercise basically I have learned about MyPlate about each different food groups, talking about portion control, and now in class my classmates and I are doing something about different disabilities so we team up in a group. One my classmates wanted to learn about Trisomy 21 Down Syndrome, and I knew a bit or more about Trisomy 21 Down Syndrome as that is the disability I have. So I decided on that. Other than that I am very blessed that I am in the RISE Program, and I also keep busy as possible as I can. I am also growing more independent and growing more spiritually and I really am completely blown away but through it all I praise God because He is my first priority, and I have strong faith in the Lord and I want to keep it that way.

Preparing Going To Judson University RISE Program

In just in a couple of short weeks I'm moving in on campus at Judson University RISE Program it is a two year program. My parents are helping me pack all my belongings and what I would need to take with me and also for my dorm room. This is the next chapter in my life but I'm very proud of myself learning how to be independent in life. The term of RISE is: Road To Independent Living, Spiritual Formation And Employment. I am very proud of myself how I chose to be accepted at Judson University RISE Program and I've been so blessed by that. However I'm looking forward to this opportunity to success in life. I am going to take a lot of classes and I'll be mostly busy but I give glory to God because that matters most especially no matter what happens.

Accepted At Judson University

I have made a hard decision between two christian colleges. One of them is far away the one in Saint Paul Minnesota. The other is in Elgin Illinois that is not far to where I live and I'm glad I chose Judson University just because of how long the drive is especially the christianity beliefs that they have biblically. I give the RISE Program at Judson University the credit as they got me accepted in the RISE Program which I'm so thankful and blessed. I had been introduced to Judson University from a lead Pastor from The House Church-Local Church from Rock Island Illinois over the previous years I think. For me it's always a blessing and a privilege that I would be going to Judson University this fall. I'll be going to orientation on April 24th at Judson University on campus!!!

Applied For Two Colleges

I have been applying for two colleges one of them I got interviewed remotely. Next week I'll be heading to Minneapolis St.Paul in Minnesota the college there is Bethel University. The one I got interviewed remotely is Judson University  I'm gladly looking forward to the opportunity for going to one of these colleges if accepted when I get to hear if I do get accepted in March. I know there will be a change when if I would go to college but I believe when if I'm going, I'm going and I say that spiritually. I believe God is calling me to live my life when going to college in a way when I would have the opportunity to be the one to be independent. I am gladly excited can be a little nervous but I believe it would be all okay no matter what the situation is when God is in control in my life and I'm blessed in that concept. I thank God that he has made me in his image when I have a privilege to glorify His name above all.
