I am in the RISE Program here at Judson University in Elgin IL. I am also a first year RISE student. I have been learning lots and I really enjoy it! I made lots of new friends. I have a roommate and a suitemate. In my classes I am taking that I know I have a lot. Currently my favorite subjects are Current Events and Nutrition & Exercise. In Current Events class I had been learning previously about weather, and anything related to news and had been talking about politics which I won't like to talk about which you may understand as that is very interesting to me and I like to learn more. In Nutrition & Exercise basically I have learned about MyPlate about each different food groups, talking about portion control, and now in class my classmates and I are doing something about different disabilities so we team up in a group. One my classmates wanted to learn about Trisomy 21 Down Syndrome, and I knew a bit or more about Trisomy 21 Down Syndrome as that is the disability I have. So I decided on that. Other than that I am very blessed that I am in the RISE Program, and I also keep busy as possible as I can. I am also growing more independent and growing more spiritually and I really am completely blown away but through it all I praise God because He is my first priority, and I have strong faith in the Lord and I want to keep it that way.
